RIP Mick Ralphs

Original Mott leader, phenomenal guitarist, lovely fellow

Just heard the incredibly sad news that Mick Ralphs has passed away. The driving force in getting accosting Guy Stevens and Mott signing to Island before Ian Hunter came along, brilliant guitarist and lovely bloke who played on 6 MTH albums before leaving to form Bad Company.

Always remember when Mott had sneaked me into the school dance in December 69 and I watched them from under the PA system, I had to go home and sneaking out Mick blew my cover announcing, 'This one's for our good friend Kris who's got to go now' and blasted into Rock 'n' Roll Queen'. He always helped with the fan club and went out of his way. Along with Overend and Buffin, that's 3 original Mott members we'll be paying tribute to at Mottfest 2025 (for which Ross-on-Wye will become Mott-on-Wye for the weekend).
